Slovenská národná strana (SNS) is currently in a coalition government and holds 8 out of 150 seats in the National Council. The party won 10 seats in the most recent election in 2023, a rebound from the previous election in 2020, when SNS failed to win a single seat. Defections from the party's caucus in 2024 reduced their number of seats.
In the 2024 European Parliament elections, SNS received 1.9% of the vote, failing to secure a seat. This was a lower vote share than they had won in 2019 (4.09%), when they had also failed to gain a seat.
